mistakes

First of all the full appointment: Babak Rafati - Holger Henschel, Patrick Ittrich - Marcel Pelgrim. Holger Henschel should be a well-known name in European football, he whistles many matches at Florian Meyer's side.
There were so many mistakes today that I do not really know where to begin...let us take the 25th minute: a clear goal scored by Mainz (who will be in Euro League, congratulations!!), however, Henschel flagged for offside, absolutely wrong, it was obviously on the level. He should have seen that, it was not too difficult. After Huntelaar could mark the 1-0 in the 49th minute, Mainz could draw and again, a wrong decision. This time for Mainz, this time it was offside, this time the assistant referee had to flag off-side, this time it was Ittrich. Nonetheless, that was not everything. Rafati missed a penalty for Schalke and a red card against Schalke's Papadopoulos who kung fu kicked his opponent. What did Rafati do? Nothing, no red, no yellow, no free-kick, simply nothing. And...he was only 3 metres away from the situation. Unbelievable..

Rafati

The magazine "Kicker" published a list during the season, it was some kind of poll where all Bundesliga players got to vote their favorite and least favorite referees. Frorian Meyer turned out to be the most liked referee, Brych the second-most-liked and Stark the most-disliked one with Rafati ending second. Rafati was suspended for some time after some odd and incapable performances. Today, he was back and he gave the best reason to recategorize him. Felix Zwayer should step in his position to my mind...
