Feyenoord 3 - 1 PSV
Eredivisie · 2011-04-24 Referee: Bjorn Kuipers

Dutch Clasico Feyenoord - PSV

1st half

What perhaps nobody expected was that after the 10-1 earlier this season in Eindhoven, Feyenoord started very aggressive in this match, they put constant pressure on PSV. Feyenoord forwards Castaignos and Wijnaldum were unstoppable for the PSV defenders.
Yet the first shot came from PSV sider Marcello after eight minutes on the bar. After 12 minutes there was a wide shot by Fer (Feyenoord) 5 minutes later it was Wijnaldum who broke through the defense again 5 minutes later it was Wijnaldum again. But still no goal.
Bjorn Kuipers had the game well under control, there were minor violations, but nothing serious.
Then there was a penalty claim when Castaignos fell into the penalty area, the replay showed that it was no penalty. Castaignos slipped, but made believe he got tackled.
Then PSV became dangerous, Dzudzsak slipped through the defense, but his shot went wide. After 26 minutes Feyenoord got the first goal
After the goal there were many midfield duels.

2nd half

Psv started the second half more aggressive, and the first shot was already after 2 minutes. But ...........
Orlando Engelaar who until then was not really noticed, got red after a dangerous tackle on Castaignos. PSV were furious at the referee, but in my opinion Kuipers was right. Jermaine Lens got booked for protesting.
After 59 minutes something happened you wouldn't expect: with a man down PSV returned the score 1-1. Moreover after a brilliant advantage by Kuipers. After a foul in midfield he let play go on and Toivonen scored, after Dzudzsak had hit the post
PSV sider Pieters saw a deserved yellow card.
The match ended in 3-1. An excellent match was called by Bjorn Kuipers and his assistants. They handled the match well, and were certainly not childish, PSV have certainly nothing to complain about .
