Glasgow Rangers 0 - 1 PSV
Europa League 2010 - 2011 round of 16 · 2011-03-17 Referee: Robert Schörgenhofer

jeez

one

Two guys in the air for a header, one falls: whistle. And - I have to be careful here, looks can fool you - I think he doesn't look the part. He looks a bit scared, doesn't have the I'm-the-one-in-control-here attitude. But I could be wrong.
There wasn't much wrong with his decisions though, except for one which was a collective mistake: 5 guys missing a hands ball.

arm

Bernhard Brugger - FIFA referee since 1999, recently demoted - did not see Hutchinson hit the ball with his arm on the goal line. I'm almost sure the PSV sider handled it on purpose. But take a look at Brugger: on the line, bending over to be able to see, then quickly standing straight, chest facing the field. What can he see anyway? He can't step over the line, can't run a few metres to get a better angle.
A penalty, by the way, could have changed everything.

match

with matches like this one I really wonder why I like football. Sure, there is the Champions League with really good play sometimes, there's the world Cup with all those bigger than live emotions, but then there are a lot of matches like this one.
I know PSV aren't very good but this were the famous Rangers? Jeez.
