Unseen elbows

Layec forgot to send off Taylor in the 16th minute when he used his elbow to hurt Koevermans. As the first half developed it was visible that most of Layec decisions were in favour of Newcastle. In the second half Huntington bodychecked AZ-player Jenner. He couldn't keep up with his pace and skills. It was the second deliberate action to damage Jenner. Again Layec forgot to give a booking. Instead he "talked" to the Newcastle palyer.

Bad losers

All over AZ had the best of play and winned convincingly. In the 89th minute it was sad to see that Butt used his elbow to hurt an AZ-player in the penalty box. It was even sadder that Layec booked an AZ-player for this action as well. Lucky for AZ there was not too much action in their penalty box. It was a game were Layec could have decided for a penalty in favour of Newcastle.
