his style could work much better with adult national teams. But not here. There was some pushing and pulling, angry words, some diving, some hitting the other while the ref isn't looking, all signs of Rocchi not being completely in control. In the second half he got his control back, or maybe the Anderlecht players gave up.

But

I like Rocchi's style, I guess I didn't like the players much. And his assistants were good too. Very close calls but right ones.

penalties

Anderlecht got a penalty but should have got two. Van der Wiel handled the ball. All three refs on that side must have seen it, so this was a case of interpretation: did he move his arms towards the ball or were they just in the wrong place? The Ajax sider had his arm sticking out.
The (second) penalty was right. It seemed as if Rocchi used the time while Anderlecht player Boussafa was lying on the ground to ask his assistant at the goal line what he thought. And that is just what the man is for. Well done.

(lack of) control

There was one moment where Rocchi had stopped the match for a free kick and wanted to tell a player something (don't do that again young man or...) but while he opened his mouth the free kick was taken and everyone ran off.

match

A mediocre match with a lot of very bad passing in front of their own goal by both teams. But not a boring match at all.
