Escalante whistled a penalty for Argentina in the 13th minute and the Colombian player got the yellow card. 2 mistakes. Firstly: It was not a penalty and secondly: if it was a penalty the defender should have been red carded.

Argentina Red Card?

Escalante's assistant told him something, the video had not taken it, but Escalante showed the red card to an Argentina player. As I said, I have to believe the assistant because the video showed nothing.

Future

Argentina wiil go to the Oympics, Colombia will have to improve a lot if they want to do something better in the WC in his Country. Escalante will referee again, but he will be under pressure because now for all who saw this match he is a pupil of CONMEBOL and does what CONMEBOL wants him to do.

The match was boring, Argentina tried to attack but couldn´t. When Colombia tried to play, Argentina stopped them with fouling, mostly unpunished.
