Very Difficult but convincing decisions

NO GOAL

The Assistant Referee was on the Goal line and in position to see everything. Kamranifar-who made a big name for himself during the World Cup- has yet again got a big decision right.

Korea's Penalty

When I saw it the first time, I thought what is the referee thinking but after seeing the replay I was convinced it was a penalty. The ball was no near the two players and the Japanese player stupidly fouled and the penalty was well deserved.

Japan's Penalty

Was it a foul? Absolutely but the bigger question is: Was it inside or outside the penalty area? Even though the Japanese player has his foot outside the box, his upper body was on the line and we all know the line is a part of the inside. At the same time I know some of you are going to strongly disagree with me which is totally understandable.

Overall

From the beginning I knew this crew was going to get an important match and they did which was well deserved. I think there should be some improvements but overall the Referee and his Assistants were superb.
