Offside

When Qatar scored their first goal, I thought the striker was miles offside but after watching the replay, the Assistant got it absolutely right. The same Assistant referee got another offside call right when he kept his flag down on Japan's second goal.

Double yellow = RED

This is probably the only big call I disagree with because both yellows that the referee gave to the Japanese player could have been avoided but again, Japan were playing the hosts so...

Japan's third goal

Japan's third goal destroyed Qatari hopes but another decision the official got right. The referee did see a foul in the box and it was a penalty but he played the advantage so Japan can score on the empty net and they did. Now, when the pass was made by the player who got fouled on, the receiver was behind the ball so he couldn't have been offside.

Match

The match was very good and it went from end to end but at the end the better team won. Maybe Qatar should build on their own players instead of paying millions of dollars for players from South American countries. When you don't have your own talent, you're never going to be successful.
