Khalil Al Ghamdi was injured earlier in the tournament but has recovered. Maybe AFC just wanted to see if he's physically and mentally ready for the tournament.
With Korea's first goal, it looked like the ball touched the Korean player's hand but neither the referee or the assistant referee made the call. Probably, in their opinion it was not deliberate and I have the same opinion.
Al Ghamdi seemed to be in a good position the entire game and made the penalty call immediately when he saw the Korean player basically jump on the Indian player. Another call the officials got absolutely correct.
The Assistant Referees did a great job by keeping their flag down when it was too close for an off-side call. In other matches during the tournament I've seen Assistant Referees put their flag up too early and wrongly.
My guess is that this crew will be used in the Quarter Final and probably in the Third Place Match. But only if Iran is not in the Third Place Match because Al Ghamdi's assistants are both from Iran which makes it harder for this crew to get more matches in the rest of the tournament.
