Difficult but handled

First Penalty

Mohsen Torky called two penalties in the this match and even though both were seemingly correct, they were still controversial, especially the first penalty called for the Syrians. As the pass was being made the Assistant Referee KamraniFar who made incredible decisions during the World Cup and made a name for himself, put his flag up for offside but Torky corrected him immediately. The referee believed the last touch came off the defender. Now, I have looked at this thing many times and watched some experts as well but just like I couldn't tell who had the last touch, they couldn't figure it out either.

Second Penalty

The second penalty was correct in my opinion especially after seeing the second defender who came in and put his foot up for absolutely no reason. Blame the defender and not the Referee!

Red cards

Without a doubt, Mohsen Torky got both red cards absolutely right. The first was for denying an goal-scoring opportunity and the second was a double yellow which were both received in less than 1 minute.

Assistants

Torky's Assistants got all of the offside and fouls right as well, just like he did. An incredible team and they should certainly be used again unless if AFC makes a horrifying decision by sending them home.
