Heerenveen sider Michael Dingsdag had a bright idea:"hey, since my foot is already against this guy's (Grahl) back, why don't I give him an extra hard kick. No one will se me doing it." No one did except the television audience. Because Dingsdag got away with it he did it again: he hit Lekic in the face when the ref wasn't looking. Lekic got angry and pushed Dingsdag and got booked for it.
It's defenders like Michael Dingsdag and PSV-sider Alex and French international Viera who have the knack to commit fouls the referee doesn't see. They do it after a whistle for another foul, when the ref is on his way to the spot and not looking. They do it behind the ref's back or while falling over a victim. To do something about these players there could be an assistant referee watching from higher up with a monitor at his disposal. Or these players could be send off, forever.
Two teams mainly consisting of Danes, Swedes and Norwegians officiated by a Finnish referee. The team with the most Danes played better than the other one and won.
