EL CLÁSICO

The referee

Eduardo Itturalde Gonzalez had the honour of judging "el clásico". At his sides: Roberto Díaz Perez-del Palomar and Jon Nunez Fernandez. They all did well. When considering the meaning of this match, they really did well. Barca's offensive players always moved at the margin of offside. Three of the five goals were nearly offside, but Nunez Fernandez decided everything right.
Itturalde himself did a good job, but there were a few bigger mistakes as well. At first the bilance: 11 yellows and one red card. If you see this numbers, you cannot call his perfomance as under control. But he had to show those cards.....In the 37th minute, he did one big mistake: Ronaldo was clearly fouled by Victor Valdés (goalk. of Barca) in the penalty area. What did Itturalde? Nothing! No Penalty, no red card against Valdés. If it was no foul, he must send Ronaldo with yellow-red off for diving because he had already been booked before. It would probably have been the 2-1...but that was not really a mistake, that decided the match.

90th minute, time for Sergio Ramos

I have never seen such a terrible action of a national player: Sergio Ramos. What a brutal foul from behind against Messi. It was obviously the big chill...after the foul, he hit Xavi in his face and pulled down Carles Puyol. I am excited how many matches he will be suspended..I hope for a hard ban. Probably 10 matches. It IS POSSIBLE...
