First half was superb presentation of refereeing even only Nijhuis and first assistant Boonman are international referees.Other referees didn't wear badges of they own national federation what is unusually situation on international matches. But even without badges they were better then Fifa referees in this match. In first half Bas did well job when he awarded penalty for Hajduk and with all other minor calls. But in second half everything went wrong for him. In fisrt minute of second half he awarded penalty for AEK in situation where foul was committed by Greek player even in same action few seconds earlier he missed penalty for AEK. In both situation he stay near action, maybe to near because new line of moving, but that is not excuse for those mistakes. Lucky for him goalkeeper saved his goal in this situation but in next one this goalkeeper made fatal mistake when he didn't catch ball property and Greek player scored a goal. But that Greek player in the moment of the shot stay in offside position , so he activate from offside and this goal should be allow. This was easy situation for first assistant but he showed luck of concentration. In last minute when Greek team scored third goal similar situation , but this time good decision by assistant even this situation was much heavier to valuate. In the rest of the match most decision were good , maybe Nijhuis had to show few more yellows for some fouls but generally good.
