Segar Richard Bastard
Segar Bastard was a player for Upton Park who also took charge of matches. As a referee he officiated the 1878 FA Cup final and the first ever England - Wales match. As a player he has one cap for his national team.
Segar Bastard died of an heart attack in 1921.
Bastard also played cricket for Essex, he owned a racehorse, and was a solicitor.
