Another Polish FIFA referee who was more famous as a player. Rudy played mainly for Zaglebie Sosnowiec and the Polish national team (40 caps) with which he starred at the 1976 Olympics (silver medal) and the 1978 World Cup (played only half a match).

Rudy also played for the finnish team of Kuopion Palloseura for one season. After his sports career he became a primary school head master.

In 2007 his name in the papers was suddenly Wojciech R. when he was arrested for alleged match fixing - we're not sure in what capacity. He was never convicted and could go back to teaching.
