A barber shop owner from Lusaka who became a FIFA referee in the 1970s and the president of the FA Zambia.
Winston Gumboh had an enemy in a former home affairs minister who as his first act as a minister tried to have Gumboh, then president of the FA, deported in 1991. Gumboh was held in detention for several hours, but released after pressure by his supporters.
