There was this friendly match, the inaugural match for the Soccer City Stadium, in 2010 between hosts South Africa and Colombia that ended in 2-1, all goals from penalties. The match was organized by a company called Football4U that has ties with a gambling syndicate run by a character called Wilson Raj Perumal.

FIFA actually looked into this match and this could be very well the reason why Langat was a FIFA referee for only two years.
