His Chinese name is Kai Lam NG, but you can call him Alan (this is his English name as all Hong-Kong people have one). He is the editor of a newspaper in Hong Kong.

With his passion of football, he became a referee in 1995, and earned the FIFA badge in 2004.

A family affair in the Ng family

Kai Lam Ng is the younger brother of Chiu Kok Ng, another FIFA referee from Hong-Kong. Guess what they talk about when they see each other ?

East Asian Football championship

In 2010, he participated in the East Asian Football championship that took place in Japan. He was in charge of the most important game of the tournament, China vs South Korea (3-0).

At the end of the match, one of the Korean players blamed him to be Chinese (Hong-Kong being part of China now), but his answer was "¬?¬?during all my matches, in my eyes there are only 2 colours, one for each team..I always do my best...."¬?¬Ě
