- After sending off three players of Ujpest in a 2000 match against Dunaferr, Ferenc Bede had to abandon the game in the 44th minute because he got injured by a hail of objects thrown by angry fans.
- Bede is a record holder in Hungary: between 1993 and 2010 he refereed 271 matches. He retired in November 2010.
- Bede wasn't lucky with Ujpest. In 2006, in the match against MTK, an Ujpest fan hit him and another one pushed him on the pitch. He said after the match that he was happy that the attacker didn't had a knife. MTK won the match (2-1).
- Bede was more popular in Qatar than Hungary. He was invited many times to the country, after the two countries had a referee exchange problem.
