DEBUT
- In 2003 Ramos Rizo was named in a corruption scandal concerning telephone taps in his home country. Ramos Rizo filed a complaint against leaders of the Mexican Soccer Federation and the national Referee Commission, claiming they were using illegal wiretaps so they could fire him. It must have been this reason that Ramos Rizo was not selected for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
- In 2007 Felipe Ramos Rizo showed up as co-host for a ESPN Televison Broadcast show. He was in the show to analyze matches and to keep a watchful eye on referees' decisions.
- In 2001 it was Ramoz Rizo who got the possibly difficult task to take charge of the Word Cup qualifier Iraq-Iran in Baghdad. That was after the war between the two countries and before the war between Iraq and Dick Cheney. Iran won 2-1. Both teams had a Croatian coach.
- Ramos Rizo used to have a website, but it seems not to be on-line anymore.
