OF MANY CUPS FAME
- In 2001 N'doye was given a nine-month suspension by CAF for poor refereeing. It was said N'doye was sanctioned for having refused a goal to Angola in a match against Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou, counting for the preliminaries of the African Cup in 2002. The sanction was lifted after he served more than half the suspension period.
- In 2000 Falla Ndoye had to end a crucial preliminary match between Zimbabwe and South Africa in Harare before the official time was ended. After South Africans second goal the atmosphere inside the stadium grew increasingly hostile. The police started firing tear gas into the crowd and the Harare National Sports Stadium was getting filled with smoke. Spectators spilled onto the pitch to escape the fumes and several were later stretchered from the stadium after being hit by flying objects. Trouble continued outside the stadium with cars stoned and police chasing groups of youths. At least twelve people were reported killed during the event.
