Darko Jamsek was a referee in the Yugoslavian First League from 1987 until 1991 the year Slovenia became independent. From then on he took charge of matches in Slovenia and in 1992 he received his FIFA badge. Jamsek was an international referee until the end of 1995.

Final

Jamsek was the referee of the 1993 final of the Pele Cup in Triest between Italy and Austria (2-0). The Pele Cup is a tournament for players over 35, once called "seniors" and now "masters".
