Aurelio Bosolino was already 35 when he took charge of his first 1st division match in Argentina. His age didn't stop him from becoming a FIFA referee which he was from 1963 until 1969. Bosolino died in 1998.

Bosolina helped setting up the Asociación Argentina de Arbitros (AAA), the referee's union that put a stop to the hiring of English officials which was common use in the 1950s.
