General assessment
It was a very fair final, no problem for a good ref like Frojdfeldt. The first handball situation was a 50/50 call. I too think that he did well not to award a penalty.

a Peter Frojdfeldt final

UEFA UEFA CUP 2007 - 2008 final:
Zenit - Glasgow Rangers, 2 - 0. Old Trafford, Manchester, England, 2008-05-14

Peter Frojdfeldt hardly shows yellow, hardly awards penalties and almost never shows red. This final was a Peter Frojdfeldt final, his first. Only one yellow card (not even necessary: the Zenit goalie for stalling) and twice he did not award a penalty.

on purpose
Broadfoot touched the ball with his hand. Frojdfeldt got only a second to decide and waved it off. It didn't really look like an accident, but I was glad it wasn't a penalty. A hands ball is like a free goal, and a team should work hard to get a goal in a final.
In the second half a Zenit player also touched the ball with his hands. A similar situation. Some hands balls are a little more on purpose than others. These two weren't on purpose enough.

style
Peter Frojdfeldt stays on the middle of the field, runs a bit to the right or to the left, but often he wasn't even visible (on tv). He twice warned a player verbally, that was enough.

match
The Rangers have a coach, and their coach thought one forward enough for a final. Then, one goal behind and 15 minutes left he decided to add a few forwards. What was he thinking? Was he trying to win another penalty shoot-out?
Zenit have a coach who was chased out of Holland by the media. What were they thinking?
(for someone not from either country a bit of a drag, this match, I prefer one with more drama, fouls, goals and cards)

shirt
According to the official rules Frojdfeldt actually had to book Denisov for pulling his shirt over his head to celebrate his goal. I'm glad he didn't.
