What happened to Stephane Bré? He got his FIFA badge in 1998 and had what looked like a promising career until 2004. On the FIFA list until the end of 2008 but no matches in 4 years.

2005
In 2005 Stephane Bré did something terrible: he distributed a false list of referees that was given to him anonymously. He got suspended by UEFA and FIFA for 4 months. This was written in the newspaper, but we at Worldreferee.com can't really see the gravity of the situation.

2003
Another scandal he was implicated in was the so called "affaire de portables". A man named Xavier Pettinato, son a the vice-president of the Corsican League, had used money from the referee association's technical division (DTNA)to buy mobile telephones and laptop computers he sold to referees for a good prize. Maybe because Pettinato has a political background leading all the way up to French president Sarkozy, nothing really came of the investigations. The then president ot the DTNA, former FIFA referee Michel Vautrot resigned, having had enough of it.
