history
Andreas Bode writes in his Fussball zur Zeit des Nationalsozialismus about Carl Koppehel. As a publicist and football administrator Koppehel lived well during the Weimar republic, and when the Nazis took over he slowly went up the ladder of the German Football world and his writing changed according to the style of the Third Reich. After the war, Koppehel - who had not been a member of the party - went on with managing and writing and compiling books on football. Mostly year books and his "History of German Football", a book in which he doesn't mention the banning of Jewish players and referees from the German FA.
