Job Mutters' first international match was Denmark - Sweden in 1919. This tall Dutchman officiated at three Olympic Tournaments and his most important match must have been the final Uruguay - Argentina in 1928. In fact it was two matches, the first ended in a draw and had to be replayed three days later. You could call it a World Cup final before the World Cup.

When Mutters officiated his last ever match, September 13th, 1936, he had been a referee for 30 years. Internationally he took charge of 38 matches and another 9 matches between region teams from different countries.
