Jim Finney, already designated for the 1971 European Cup final, suddenly had to end his career after a car crash.

career
Jim Finney entered the League in 1959 (until 1971) and took charge of the FA Cup final in 1964. He was a FIFA referee between 1962 and 1971. Finney, a Freemason, died in 2008.
