A school teacher from Morocco, Mohammed Guezzaz started as a referee in 1997. Two years later he refereed in his first international match. He retired at the end of 2006.

Africa Cup
Mohammed led World Cup 2002 qualifiers as well as matches in the Africa Cup of Nations in 2002, 2004 and 2006.

And
Of course Guezzaz is famous for taking charge of one match in the World Cup Korea/Japan in 2002.
For World cup 2006 he was fourth official and a backup referee. In 2005 he refereed at the Club World Championship Cup in Japan.
