ELIAS BAZAKOS, NEUROLOGIST, OBOIST AND SOCCER REFEREE
- It was February 2012 and the Chilean team and the referees were waiting for the national team of Ghana to show up for the second half. But the Ghanese had a row with their coach, the Serbian Goran Stevanovic, and refused to play on. Stevanovic was in tears and meanwhile the Chileans threatened to leave the field. Bazakos went to talk to the Ghanese players and twenty minutes later they decided to continue the match.
