The match was one of the easiest you could ever referee, with barely a bad tackle or a word said in anger. Fandel didn't interfere any more than he needed to, played lots of good advantages and generaly kept out of the way. There were a couple of debatable corner kicks/goal kick but that was about it.
Something I noticed in Euro 08 is that Fandel has rather slopy hand signals. This affects the styple that he referee's in. This continued today.
Fandel gave 2 yellow cards, they were the correct decisions. But the mannor in which they were shown was unacceptable. The YC that was shown too Clichey was shown in an exagerated and aggresive mannor. It clearly says that cards should not be exagerated.
This was a very easy game too referee by all accounts. Fandel had control of it all the way througha and that impressed me.
There was a penalty decision given too Arsenal, I think it was the right call.
