Control: exellent took no nonsense from either sets of players stamped his authoriy early in the match with two bookings for time wasting and dissent and would not let players or coaches try to influence him8.0
Calls: all calls from the small freekick to the renova penalty call were all right mark down because it did seem he missed a renova elbow into a glentoran player9.0

After the performance of the Polish referee in the first match which for Renova's first goal was one of the worst refereeing decisions ever seen, now with everyone in the stands supporting the Glens all eyes were on Kari to put in a good performance.
a sharp intake of breath
An early tackle form Glentoran's Adian O'Kane inside the box saw a sharp intake of breath from all in the Oval and Kari took a longer hard look and said 'no penalty'. Replays showed it was the right decision. He seemed to be making the right decisions and was not going to be fooled by Renova and their play acting and on more that one occasion was straight over after the ball had gone out of play and told them to get to their feet.
