Alfredo Intriago matches

The referee did everything wrong during the 1st half, stopping the action for petty things and not seeing what was really important. He was a bit better in the 2nd but ... there was a goal in a an illegal position. A performance to forget.

There were at least two yellow-card actions during the first half, and one of which could have turned into orange or red, but Intriago just conceded free kicks without showing any cards. After that, he invented two or three fouls in situations where nothing had happened. He didn't look very consistent.

Game
After half time the level of refereeeing didn't seem quite as bad, but I wasn't paying much attention. Uruguay made a big effort in order to get the victory, but Venezuela is not the horrible team that they used to be 5 or 10 years ago. And they could tie with an off-side goal, slightly but clearly. Intriago's assistant fault.
