Maybe a few whistles too many, maybe one yellow short, but Tagliavento is a fine referee.
Suarez and Enoh
Ajax have a player called Suarez (he will play somewhere else soon and make them a lot of money) and HSV tried their best o stop him. But how do you stop a player like Suarez? The only way seemed to be: by kicking him. Kicking him while he has the ball and kicking him after the ref had stopped play. I think maybe Tagliavento should have done something about it.
Enoh, another Ajax player got booked early in the match and fouled again. Tagliavento warned him and did not send him off. I like that.
Hamburg obviously did not expect this. Even though they have a Dutch coach they did not expect a Dutch team to play like this. If Hamburg has scored early they would have won. I wasn't impressed by otherwise good players like Orlic.
