Control: Manages similar to Webb...lots of talking
Calls: Also reminds me of Webb, applies different rules but allows the game to flow...im not sure if I like this though
Style: Interesting style...worked well in this match, but does not seem to work in more intense matches (this past CL semi-final for example).
Kassai did well to allow the game to appear nice, but did not apply the rules to the letter to the law (which is his job). For this reason, I feel most on the reporters gave marks around "7" while others gave rather undeserved high marks.
Control: Good use of talk and cards kept the game under control
Calls: Called most of the fouls correctly, but some yellows could have been red and some fouls could have been Yelloe
Neutrality: While I like the game flow I think Kassai's style tended to favor the Italian team.
Style: Love his style and it seems that the players do as well.
Great game and Kassai managed the players and allowed as much game flow as he could give. However, I am not sure how he was able to get away with a cleat to the knee only with a yellow, or an elbow to the neck with a yellow. Maybe the fouls were not hard enough. Bottom line is that he did get away with it and maybe he has a much better understanding of player temperament than I do.
Control: sometimes to reactice, did tolerate much dissent of players
Calls: at least two YC missed, two wrong offside decisions. foul detection was okay
Style: typical Kassai: He tried to let the game flow and not to show early cards.
His card policy was quite arbitrary. He missed some yellows, and this increased the tension in the game. Of course we saw a interresting game, but Kassais low key-style is a potential danger in a game with two southern teams. Today, it almost worked. But in latter stages of the tournament, it could end in chaos. Surely he will get a match in K.O. stage...
