Control: Low key. In line with this Euro's attempt to be the invisible man.

Calls: Two penalty appeals for Spain. I think it was okay to award one.
7
Neutrality: Not tested. France were not having the means to harm Spain at all.

Style: Hmm. Like pictured above. Be nice, and I'll be nice too.

General assessment
For me a bit too low key at times. Spain dominated possession and France didn't know what to do. Nicola Rizzoli looked on and ran around, was cool and decided once and then for a freekick.
Calls: Missed one penalty call early in the game. The contact was slight and probably accidently, but it certainly caused Fabregas to fell. Other decisions were right, good card management.
7
Neutrality: Perfect, except for that one penalty he don't give. This decision was against Spain.
8
Style: He let the game flow as much as possible.

General assessment
He managed to stay low-profile. Actually there is not much talking about the referees this tournament, which is a good sign. He missed a penalty call, but his decision not to give one, was more or less accepted by both teams. Maybe because it was an accidently foul early in the game? Maybe because Spain don't want to put energy in the ref, but decided to focus on the game instead? The fact that Spain won and that they did get a penalty later in the game probably has something to do with it as well. He's a bit lucky with this one... But surely, solid overall performance!
Calls: Menez should have been sent off for his (italian!) offensive words. The penalty was clear, and about Fabregas he decided with Tagliavento that the fault wasn't strong enough.
Calls: Missed the Penalty call on Fabregas, Cards were Okay!

I can't believe some people are saying the challenge on Fabregas was a penalty but the one that Rizzoli actually called was soft. It's either both or none and in my opinion he should have called the first one as well.
