The Swedish team played very badly at the 2008 European Championships and it was clear they had to start over with a new team, with younger players and maybe skip the World Cup finals. But they didn't. And by still playing with now 37 year old forward Larsson and not scoring at all in most of their qualifiers, they've lost at least two years.
