Howard Webb has a (recent) history of stupid decisions and blunders and penalties wrongly awarded or wrongly not awarded and off side goals or non off side canceled goals, Howard Webb is not a very popular referee.
So
that is why we were wondering why UEFA and FIFA and the FA (he will take charge of the final this year) keep assigning him to important matches, don't they watch the same matches we do?
but
in this match Webb showed why he is considered a top referee: he did everything well, he was accurate, quick, good on awarding the advantage and strict. Sure, it wasn't the world's most difficult match, but still.... (Wolfgang Stark would have made a mess of it anyway).
