This match was not about the referee, not about Roberto Rosetti at all. This match was about two teams playing too carefully for almost 2 hours and both managing to score only in the 119th minute or so. Rosetti hardly had a part in it.
Sure he had to whistle every now and then and show a few cards (3 Turks will not be playing in the semi-final), he had to see through a couple of tricks, feet on ankles, kicks against shins etc, but he hardly missed anything. The things he missed or did wrong were unimportant, had no influence on the match.
Well, pretty boring to be honest, two teams unable or too carefull to score, very few chances, I had a hard time staying awake. But the last 5 minutes were exciting, Turkey scored in the minute added to the extra time, right after the Croats thought they had scored the winner. The Turks must be having the time of their life this tournament. Another amazing escape.
