| Bayern Munich | - | AC Milan |
Mejuto Gonzalez did nothing really wrong and nothing really right in this match. A foul that warranted a red card was punished by a mere yellow (almost right), two offsides were missed, one was erroneously given, one was incorrectly waved (wrong, but blame the linesmen). Van Bommel was rightly shown a yellow though for elbowing Ambrosini in the face.
Offsides
AC Milan forward Inzaghi came back from offside and was nearly there when Seedorf gave him a slick assist. He went on to score but replays showed that this goal should have been turned down. The linesman was not on a line with Inzaghi when Seedorf passed him the ball and missed the offside. Bayern's Pizarro was deemed offside later on in the game and clearly wasn't.
Red
Salihamidzic badly controlled a beautiful pass and the ball bounced just that bit too far from his foot for him to be able to reach it. He went ahead and ran for it anyway and when he found Nesta in his path, he purposely planted his right foot in his thigh. This foul was as red as fouls come but Gonzalez decided to play it safe and pulled a yellow.
