CONMEBOL insist on Escalante, but Escalante insists on making the same mistakes, yesterday he did it again.

Penalty
I disagree with Escalante, for me it was not a penalty, even for his assistant it was not, he was confused when Escalante whistled, he did not know what to do.

Fouls, Cards etc...
Escalante was very confused, he made many mistakes by giving the fouls. The cards he gave were a bit crazy. The first one was clearly not a foul in which you can give a yellow cards, the others could have been but his criterion was not always the same, a shame.

Time of the match..
I don´t know why CONMEBOL insist on having matches so late, this one started at 10:30 in Colombia, 12:30 in Brazil for example. In Mexico it was 8:30 but the match could have started at least 45 minutes earlier, maybe many people could have seen it in an other time in South America.

It´s time to try again..
I don´t know what CONMEBOL is thinking but in my opinion I would like to see Giovanni Pierluzzo, the number two before Escalante came in the FIFA list. I think Escalante needs some rest for a while..

The match was not so good but still OK, Emelec will have to win in the next match against Jaguares again but in Ecuador if they want to keep the illusion of going to the other stage...
