| Libya | - | Senegal |
Rajindraparsad Seechurn was in charge of his 2nd match at this AFCON along with Peter Edibe from Nigeria and David Shaanika from Namibia, the 4th official was Ali Lemghaifry from Mauretania.
Match
Both teams wanted to win the match. Libya in order to have a chance to qualify and Senegal to gain the first points at the tournament. So the match was interesting and with a good pace.
Calls
Mr Seechum did a pretty good job. He had a good foul detection and a good card policy. He tried to book the players only for dangerous tackles. He may needed to show one or two yellow cards more but overall it is Ok with me.
ARs
His assistants were great. Both had a difficult situation to resolve and they succeeded. Especially the second assistant disallowed a goal scored by Senegalese Camara at min. 86 when after a shot he scored from an offside position. It was a great call and perhaps an obvious one.
Overall
A good performance by Mr Seechurn. His only minus some gestures when awarding a free kick and his positioning some times when he had to jump over the ball. I would like to see him again.
