Only five months with a FIFA badge and Novo Panic took charge of a final in the Euro 2003 u-17 tournament, a sign of a promising career. There were some qualifiers and such until 2006 when he whistled a group stage match in the UEFA Cup. But then no more climbing. He was a UEFA Category 3 referee until he got suspended for life from football in 2010.
In 2009 the German police started investigations on match fixing. Novo Panic's name was one of the first of the referees under investigation to be disclosed. Then in 2010 he was suspended indefinitely by UEFA.
There was another final for Panic in 2003: the 1999 Region's Cup, a UEFA tournament for amateur teams. Maine (Fr) vs Piedmont (1-2).
