Puskas
The match Hungary vs West-Germany was played twice during the 1954 World Cup, and twice Bill Ling was the referee. The first time it was a group stage match, the second time it was the final. The Hungarians seemed to be unbeatable. They won the first match 8-3, but the final is what it's all about and this time, against all odds, the Germans won. The most famous Hungarian, Major Ferenc Puskas scored an off-side goal in the 86th minute, flagged by Welsh lines man Griffiths. Instead of a hand shake, Bill Ling received an angry push by goalie Grosics after the match.
