
As so many referees Pat Partridge started refereeing in a local league in 1953 after he had suffered an injury as a player. He officiated in Hong Kong while stationed there s a soldier, did some more local matches and became a Football League linesman in 1965 and referee a year later. He held a FIFA badge between 1971 and 1981.

Life
Partridge is an electrician, helped running his father-in-law's farm and later became chairman and president of Referees' Association(s). (there are more than one in England)
